Six months after breaking off the engagement with a colleague Summer house star of Carl Radke, Lindsay Hubbard is moving forward — her way.
“I’m very focused right now and I’m very busy right now,” Hubbard, 37, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “I think after all is said and done, after last year, I thought my future in life was going to go in a completely different direction this year. Then, when it didn’t, I decided to focus on my individual successes and what I consider personal success in of my life. That was fine.”
Reflecting on his future aspirations, Hubbard says, “I want to own a home. I want to start a business. I want to focus on my financial future and success.”

“That was really my focus, just my own success. I don’t know what that means exactly. My version of success has changed as the years have gone by,” she shares. “It was in my early 20s [to] graduate college and move to New York and start a career in PR. Then it was like, get on that ladder and work as hard as you can, get as much knowledge and experience as you can in the field of PR.”
“Then, in my early 30s, it was like, okay, start my own public relations firm and then keep it afloat and make it successful in the toughest city to have a firm in. And have clients and make a name for myself and make money and learn the business side of things, and that was my early 30s,” she continues. “Back then, my mid-30s were like, OK, well, then my version of success is like now I’m ready to think about my real future and settling down, and that famous line, engagement, marriage, babies or whatever I said. ”

The Bravo star said she thought engagement, marriage and babies “will be my future and my future success, and that’s what I considered successful.” But everything changed after she suddenly found herself alone again after Radke (39) broke off her engagement last September.
“When everything happened six months ago, I turned around. Because that’s not the only thing I consider successful for myself, it’s engagement, marriage, babies. That’s not me,” she explains. “I am a very hard working, hard working ethic, strong willed and strong minded girl. So I hope to find a happy, healthy relationship with someone who is compatible, first and foremost. If family comes, family comes.”
Hubbard adds, “Besides, my individual financial success is what I consider success right now. I always feel stronger when I’m on my own two feet and don’t have to think about choosing someone else.”
One thing Hubbard has been focused on lately is the Hubb House, her new rental property in Nashville, Tennessee. Purchased back in January, Hubbard worked tirelessly to get the group’s shared property ready for guests starting next month.
“It’s perfect for Summer house-a group of friends, just without the cameras,” she jokes. “I’m so excited for people to see it.”
Hubbard and Radke met in 2016 while filming the first season of the series Summer house. Although the pair initially built a strong friendship, their relationship briefly became romantic during the filming of Season 4 in the summer of 2019, but they broke up soon after. They got serious a few years later, confirming they were back together in early 2022.
The two reality stars got engaged in August 2022, but called off the engagement nearly a month after Hubbard hosted her garden party-themed bridal shower.
