Hilary Duff just pulled an old fashion accessory out of her closet: the Birkin bag!
On her Instagram story, the actress shared a photo of the iconic handbag sitting on a bench at the end of her bed. The Hermès Blue Zellige Togo Birkin 35cm Bag appears to be Gold Hardware and features gold details, including a gold-plated lock hanging from the strap. The bag usually sells for around $25,000,
“I bought this girl almost 20 years ago in Paris and decided to dust her off and let her see the light of day for our weekend. She’s so cute,” Duff, 36, captioned the Instagram story, meaning she bought the bag around her 16th birthday when she was a Disney hit star Lizzie McGuire.

Back in 2011, the mom was spotted in Los Angeles, California carrying the same oversized bag in bright hues. Then she combined it with a transparent salmon sweater, jeans, a ponytail and striking earrings.

Recently, Duff opted for bags that give off a more casual mom vibe. In 2016, she talked to PEOPLE more about her style secrets, including how the bags she uses have changed over the years.
“I’m not into huge bags. I think I got over the big ones when I was carrying a diaper bag all the time,” she said. “Now I’m more into a comfortable crossbody bag—oh my god, I’m such a mom! I just don’t carry that much anymore. I even like a clutch for day. It doesn’t have to be sparkly, but it looks cute with a pair of jeans and a blazer.”
Fast forward to the present day, and How I met your father star, who is expecting her fourth child, dresses for comfort. She recently shared on Instagram that she can no longer fit into a pair of her favorite jeans thanks to her growing belly.
