Love Is Blind’s Chelsea Says Jimmy ‘Tried’ to Take Her to a Baseball Game Date on Their Wedding Day

Chelsea Blackwell sheds some light on her and Jimmy Presnell’s short try after the break on Love is blind.

On Tuesday in the episode Viall files, the season six contestants described their relationship on and off the show, with Chelsea, 31, revealing what their date was like after Jimmy, 28, told her he wasn’t going down the aisle with her.

After the show “ended,” Jimmy “expressed” his desire to pursue a relationship with Chelsea, she told host Nick Viall. One of their first attempts to do it without cameras fell on their future wedding day.

“He tried to take me to a baseball game on our wedding day,” Chelsea recalled, though his attempt at romance quickly fizzled.

“He just said the cameras were too much, the pressure was too much. And I was frustrated because I said, ‘You knew you were going into this situation,'” she continued. “I was thrilled, I was ready, I was committed. I was ready to get married and really say yes and go on this date with him. We tried for four days and it just wasn’t the same.”

Looking back, Chelsea said she “screwed it up” by allowing Jimmy another chance with her, as “nothing has changed” between them. “I’m just so different 1710887078 than I was [while] filming, because if you told me no more than once, and I still give you a chance — I was ashamed at that moment,” she said.

As for their current relationship, Chelsea doubled down as she confirmed, “We’re just friends. Absolutely nothing happens. I saw what I needed to see. I was told no more than once with him. So we’re not going to do that shit again.”

Chelsea previously told PEOPLE that the couple “went out a few days after the breakup,” calling it “a journey that we were trying to maneuver together,” though it didn’t work out.

“He’s been so wonderful to me throughout this journey,” she said on Tuesday’s episode The Viall files. “We did not expect that it would transfer to me. So he’s just… He’s the only one who knows what happened in our relationship, and it’s the same with me. For him to kind of come out and really support me and have my back was very, very helpful.”

The couple’s relationship eventually came to a head during their last date before the wedding. Jimmy told Chelsea he wasn’t ready or willing to walk down the aisle with her after a fun day at the amusement park together, and Chelsea told PEOPLE the breakup was “totally out of the question” for her.

“We were in such a good place before that date that I was just thrilled and so in love. We had worked so hard on our relationship and we were in the most amazing place we could be, I thought,” she said. “So that whole conversation… I was definitely taken aback.”

She revealed that Jimmy was “very worried” about saying no to her at the altar in front of their gathered family and friends as she privately broke down his decision to end the relationship.

“He was very vocal with me the whole time and he just didn’t want my family traveling and my friends wasting their time coming over if he was sure he was going to say no,” she said. So I think he was just thinking more about wasting my family’s time, wasting my time, and he just wanted to do it as soon as he got a solid answer.”
