Love Is Blind’s Johnie Goes Instagram-Official with New Boyfriend After Ex Chris’ Cheating Revelations

Johnie Maraist goes public with her new love after revealing her relationship status with ex Chris Fox during Sunday’s Season 5 reunion Love is blind.

The Houston lawyer, 32, announced her new relationship on Instagram, shortly after her ex-boyfriend, 28, a project host, admitted they broke up after he cheated on her on a reality TV reunion.

“I’m fine 🩵,” Johnie captioned a video collage showing photos of her with her boyfriend Alex Yovanovic. Images flashed on the screen to a piano instrumental of Adele’s “Someone Like You” and included shots of the pair dancing, making funny faces and pursed lips.

In another post, Johnie shared a carousel of pictures and videos celebrating their one-year relationship.

“The journey was hell but it brought me heaven 🩵,” she wrote in the caption. “Happy one year Alex – thank you for showing me what true love is.”

At the reunion, the reality star admitted she was devastated by her divorce from Chris, but shared that she has since moved on and has been dating her boyfriend for a year.

Former Love is blind the couple confirmed that they went their separate ways after he started dating another woman without breaking up.

“That weekend was my birthday weekend and Chris had a wedding out of state, so he went out of state and I didn’t see him. And then the next week I didn’t see him, and then the next weekend I found out Chris was seeing someone else,” he explained is Johnny. “And yes, I never saw him again.”

Chris admitted his actions, admitting: “I didn’t handle the situation the way someone would, but I found someone who I live with now, I love him and we’re very happy together. And I’m sorry if that hurts to hear. I know I was wrong. I felt guilty and heartbroken and had as many emotions as I could because I fell in love with [her] … one of my biggest regrets is not being open with you.”

“I apologized before and I apologize all the time,” he added. “One of my biggest flaws that I’m constantly trying to work on is that I tell people news they don’t want to hear.”

During the first few episodes of the Netflix hit, fans watched Chris form a capsule relationship with Johnie. However, Johnie felt that her relationship with Izzy Zapata was stronger and decided to end things with Chris, claiming that he felt like a “safer” option.

Chris was devastated by their break-up, but it wasn’t long before Johnie came back to him, looking for a second chance after Izzy, 31, ended things with her to pursue Stacy Snyder. Chris stood his ground and turned down Johnie’s offer — but by episode 7, it was revealed that the two eventually rekindled their relationship and decided to date outside of the group.
