Love Is Blind’s Lauren Dishes on Cameron’s ‘Spicy Sensual Side’ and Keeping a ‘Spark’ in Their Marriage (Exclusive)

It may have been five years in the marriage of Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton, but Love is blind the couple still manages to keep the flame alive!

As the month of love draws to a close, the couple, who are partnering with Lay’s to launch their new Sweet & Spicy Honey flavored crisps, are letting PEOPLE in on the secret behind their successful marriage and their favorite things about each other.

“With Cam, he definitely has a bit of a spicy sensual side,” says Lauren, 36. “I’d say he’s very — I don’t think I need to say much, but I think you get where I’m going with that — he loves his wife in the fiercest ways. And she really appreciates it.”

“He’s an amazing partner. He’s very supportive, very loving,” she continues. “I mean, he’s just a gorgeous man who’s spicy.”

Speaking about his wife, Cameron, 33, says: “When it comes to her family, she doesn’t play around. She’ll be the first to stand up for her family no matter what, and I really like that about her.”

“And when it comes to cuteness, I feel like Lauren, her cute side doesn’t get enough attention in the public eye. So I want to make it known that she can be cute,” she notes. “And for me, I think I see it in so many different ways. One thing I really love is when she writes little notes for me… She really likes to write cards and she’s so consistent, which is what I really love about Lauren. She’s not a person who would switch on you and be a different person the next day. She’s just a very solid person, which I think is rare.”

When it comes to keeping things exciting in their marriage, Lauren and Cameron agree that travel plays a big role.

“You really need to have new experiences, in whatever way they might be relevant to you as a couple,” says Cameron. “One thing I really appreciate about Lauren is that she’s a big travel junkie. I enjoy traveling, it’s not usually a priority for me, but since we’ve been married, we’ve traveled a lot and it’s something that kind of gives you that spark of novelty in a relationship. .”

“But it doesn’t have to be something that big,” he admits. “It could be as simple as, ‘Oh, we’ve always wanted to go to this market together. Let’s just go.’ There really is no time like the present… You have to find time to have fun, you really have to. I mean, it sounds so almost trivial, but you really have to make time for it.”

Lauren agrees: “Yeah, I feel like new experiences keep things fresh and exciting, and that’s one of my favorite things to do as a couple. Like Cam said, whether it’s going to the market or going to a game night that we’ve never been to before, whether it’s just a new show that just came out that we’re both excited about or watching it and yelling at the TV. Just new experiences, breaking up the monotony of the everyday is so important.”

Another new experience the duo is tackling together is their Lay’s partnership, which includes introducing fans to their “Marry Me” chicken balls, the dish that sealed the deal on their relationship. The tenders are made with Lay’s new “swicy” potato chips, and the recipe also features a sweet and spicy dipping sauce created by the Hamiltons.

“I think we all know by now that Lay’s is America’s favorite potato chip,” says Cameron. “So I think for us, why this made perfect sense, this partnership is Lay’s Sweet and Spicy Chips with honey flavor. I mean, it represents Lauren and me because we’re a sweet-spicy duo. We’re the yin to each other’s yang, that kind of perfect harmonies of sweet and spicy. Swicy, if you will. Well, I think if you were to put us in the shape of a chip, this would be a chip.”

“Exactly,” Lauren adds. “It’s perfect!”
