Love Is Blind's Leo Can't Stop Reminding Us He's a Rich Art Dealer. Literally What Does That Mean? (Exclusive)

We have a nepo child from the art world.

Love is blind season 7 just came out, and one of the hottest topics? Participant Leo Braudy, who was open to anyone and everyone (from producers to his many, many meetings with the floor) about his work as an art dealer and self-described impressive financial status.

Although the wealthy art dealer (sorry, we had to) and his outlets have insisted to PEOPLE that he hasn’t talked about his bank account as much as it seems, fans aren’t exactly buying it.

“Hey guys if you heard it loud and clear but Leo is a wealthy art dealer just enjoying his inherited millions,” one viewer wrote. Added another: “Leo every 5 seconds: I am an art dealer, I have a huge inheritance.”

For the record, Braudy fully understands the discourse. “I really didn’t feel like I talked about it that much. Maybe I talked about it more than I thought I did,” he tells PEOPLE exclusively. “If people are looking for me on the internet, that’s what it is… I don’t think people mean half of what they say on the internet anyway, so I think that’s fine!”

In a hilarious scene, Braudy thanked Hannah Jiles (the two brought the drama this season with a deliciously frustrating love triangle) for seeming humble about his job. But Jiles admitted it was simply because she wasn’t entirely sure what it meant to be a (rich) art dealer – and PEOPLE is right there with her.

Below, we polled our staff to help us make sense of it all. (However, results may vary.)

Brittany Talarico, Deputy Style Director

The only art dealer energy I care about is Charlotte York Goldenblatt. (Oh, and never forget Anne Hathaway in The idea of you.)

Cecilia de La Paz, West Coast Editorial Operations Manager

An art dealer is someone who has a deep knowledge of art history but buys anyone who looks like Banksy. For a lot of money. Or someone with just a modicum of artistic knowledge.

Skyler Caruso, writer-reporter

An art dealer is the excuse you give when asked about the random clutter and bad wall decor around your apartment. “Oh this? Strictly business.”

Also: the excuse you give when a legal authority questions you about what’s in your bag. “No no, I’m just an art dealer!”

Daniela Avila, music writer-reporter

To me, an art dealer sounds like someone who graduated in art, couldn’t find a job, and now makes money selling obscure services to people and businesses to improve the environment. But remember, art is subjective – so only those who get it, get it.

Carly Breit, Senior Platform Editor

I’m an art dealer too (if you count putting Taylor Swift vinyl all over my room).

Janine Rubenstein, Editor-in-Chief

An art dealer is a big dealer to themselves and others who identify as big dealers and big dealers with high walls they want to make a big deal out of.

“It was, I guess, only important in the sense that I was just trying to be authentic about who I was, but a lot of the conversation about it was in the context of family,” he says. “For me, continuing the family business is something I’m proud of. So whoever I’d be with, it’s more than a marriage. Work is a real part of what someone would be involved in, so those were relevant conversations.”

Episodes 1-6 of Love is blind season 7 is now streaming on Netflix, and episodes 7-9 will air on Wednesday, October 9.
