Although she now has to carry an EpiPen at all times, Lydia says the incident allowed the couple to deepen their relationship and how his gift touched her heart.

“When I first saw a bee, I thought, ‘What?’ I asked myself: ‘What are you doing?’ And he said, ‘Well, the first time you were vulnerable to me was when you showed me that bumblebee situation. That was the first time you were vulnerable with me, it was something from me that was really scary for you,'” he recalls their conversation, which was not shown on camera.

Lydia went on to praise Milton for how “eloquently” he managed to change the story from something initially terrible to something beautiful. “I was like, ‘You just completely turn a traumatic story into something sweet that I’ll always remember,'” she says.

“That was one of the things that made me fall in love even more,” she continues. “I thought, ‘You’re great. This is perfect.'”

Despite the ups and downs on their way to the altar, the reality star has no regrets about how it all turned out.

“No, I like being married,” she says. “I love my marriage. I am so happy today. And if everything I’ve done and said has led me to the same result, I’ll do it all over again in exactly the same way.”

“He’s amazing,” she said. “He is a perfect boyfriend, but he loves me the most for who I am, the real me. And over time he has shown that he will defend me with everything [has] got it and he’ll have my back, no questions asked. And he never doubted[ed] who am I.”
