Matthew Duliba explains why he didn’t appear at the recent one Love is blind reunion — and what he’s been up to since the cameras stopped rolling on season six.
In an Instagram Q+A on Sunday, Duliba, 37, revealed that he has a new girlfriend and spent the reunion day with her. First sharing that he is no longer single, he answered a fan’s question: “Do you like Spanish/Latina girls” with a photo of the new love in his life.
“Funny you ask, this is Vanessa, my girlfriend,” he wrote alongside the photo. “This picture was taken on the same day as the reunion. We went to an FC Charlotte soccer match with friends.”

Later in the Q+A, someone asked why she didn’t want to be on the Netflix special that aired on March 13. He replied: “I’m not going back to a situation where they retain control over editing.”
He attributed the way he was portrayed on the show to editing, claiming his words would be “cut and pasted”.
“If I had known that, I wouldn’t have done it,” he added.

Duliba also said he’d like them to show off his “abundance of rizzo,” which is slang for charisma, in pods.
He then alleged that the producer “yelled” at him for suggesting the other men keep their drinking to a minimum. “I was actually the father of that experience,” he said.

On Saturday, Duliba also posted a video on his feed, mocking co-star Amber Desiree “AD” Smith, who said he was as hard to crack as pistachios. Love is blind co-host Nick Lachey also referred to him as a “little pistachio” during the Season 6 reunion.
“Happy Friday,” Duliba said in the video. “You know I really like pistachios. They are one of my favorite foods. They take a little time, require a little patience. They are so unique and so wonderful.”

In that same clip, he joked that he likes both chicken and rice because he can season it however he wants, again referencing AD. At the reunion, she said that they met after the shoot and that he cooked her chicken and rice for dinner.
“Without the context of those spices and side dishes, chicken and rice can be so much more,” he said.
Towards the end of the video, he became more serious, encouraging his followers to remember the participants Love is blind are people.
“To everyone who has supported me in recent months, I want to tell you how much I appreciate you,” he said into the camera. “It wasn’t easy, but I’m definitely excited about the future. And I think it’s really important to know that this is not just a TV show, but that these are real people.”
He continued: “I think a lot of these people are struggling a bit. If you can be anything, be kind.”
