Love Island 2024 stars’ pre-villa salaries revealed – including Joey Essex’s £8million payday

LOVE Island’s main mission is to help singles find a little romance – but it helps that there’s also £50,000 up for grabs for favorite couples.

But new revelations about this year’s cast payouts have revealed that some grabbed the cash before heading to the ITV2 villa in Mallorca.

From one cheeky £8 million payout to a simple 9 to 5, here’s everything you need to know about the cast’s past earnings.

Work role: Reality star (including Towie, Dancing On Ice, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here) and businessman

Earnings: Around £8 million

Between multiple appearances on reality shows, a business under the umbrella name Fusey, and other investments, Joey has been no laughing matter when it comes to his money.

However, there is a catch to this – Joey Essex Management has not filed accounts for the past FOUR years and could face prosecution if this is not resolved soon.

Despite the problems, before entering the mansion he launched two new businesses according to Companies House – both production companies, signaling potential plans to try to crack Hollywood.

Job Role: Head of Talent Recruiting at Bain & Company

Earnings: £91,000 to £98,000

Munveer lived a rather lavish life before entering the mansion, sharing pictures from luxurious vacations and fancy restaurants.

This includes partying at Dubai’s posh Billionaire nightclub, as well as sunny breaks from Barcelona to Bali.

It was all funded by a fairly easy job at Bain & Company, a global management consulting firm.

Earnings: Approximately £90,000 a year

Between his modeling jobs and his position as a footballer in the Isthmian League, North Division, Ayo had a tidy earnings streak before going on the show.

Earnings: Approximately £52,000 per year

Ronnie Vint made his living as a semi-professional footballer for Lewes FC, who stated in 2019 that they pay their players between £100 and £250 a week.

It has more than likely risen slightly in the five years since then.

Sean made no secret that he was incredibly proud of his candy business, which turned out to be a slow and steady effort.

As of 2020, Companies House records state that his assets for Sweet Delivery are worth £21,820.

To subsidize his booming business, Sean also works as a graphic designer, for which he earns approximately £29,736 a year.

Beautiful Patsy didn’t last too long in the villa, after not being able to find a relationship with any boy.

Before appearing on the show, she worked as an office administrator, which helps with the day-to-day running of the business headquarters.

Before entering the Love Island villa, Sam, from Chesterfield, was hoping his skills as a hairstylist would come in handy in the villa.

She often showcases her skills online through her Instagram account @SamTaylorHair.

Unfortunately, after being axed from the series after just 48 hours, that was not to be.

He has since shown fans that he is back in his seat at Salon Sixty in Sheffield.

Tiffany, who was let go in a shock decision on Sunday night, previously worked in human resources.

She rose to her position in HR.

Samantha was kicked off the island last week after being paired with Joey Essex.

According to the Mirror, her bosses “jumped through hoops” to promote her to store manager and her departure did not go down well.

Omar is a PE teacher from Croydon.

Love Island stars who have returned to their normal jobs

APPEARING on Love Island means you’re catapulted into the world of showbiz with thousands of new followers.

While many Islanders love their newfound fame, there are a few who have returned to their former pre-villa jobs.

Dr. Alex George

Dr Alex appeared on Love Island back in 2018.

Before the ITV2 show he was an emergency room doctor and after Love Island went on to work at Lewisham Hospital.

The star worked on the front line during the Covid pandemic between 2020 and 2021.

Georgia Townend

Georgia was a real bomb during the ninth series of Love Island 2021.

Before the villa, Georgia worked as a marketing manager at supermarket Lidl – and returned shortly afterwards.

She currently works as a marketing manager at M&S.

Anna Vakili

Anna appeared on Love Island in 2019 and gained a huge following on social media.

But during the pandemic, she returned to the pharmacy as a pharmacist.

Malin Anderson

Malin became famous in 2016 when she was on the Island of Love.

Before the program, Malin worked as an elderly carer and palliative carer – and just like Alex and Anna – she returned to her old job during the pandemic years.

Rachel Fenton

Rachel was also in the series in 2016.

Like other Islanders who work in healthcare, she returned to the clinic as an orthopedic clinical nurse during Covid.

Jay Younger

Jay was on the show in 2022 and returned to his job as an investment analyst just a week after being evicted from the mansion.

Abigail Rawlings

Abigail took part in the seventh series of the show and made the decision to return to her job as a tattoo artist shortly after being abandoned.
