Island of love USA star Hannah Smith faces two felony charges following her September 2024 arrest in Atlanta, according to Cobb County court documents obtained by PEOPLE.
Smith, 27, was arrested Monday, Sept. 30, on two felony charges after he allegedly threatened and attempted to hit a police officer. The incident occurred when the TV personality was escorted out of an Atlanta concert hall for “disturbing public order by yelling and screaming,” according to police records obtained by PEOPLE.
On Wednesday, Jan. 15, Cobb County Prosecutor Sonya Allen charged Smith with felony counts of obstructing an officer and making terroristic threats, according to court documents.

Smith “knowingly and willfully obstructed Cobb County Officer Kayla Winkfield in the lawful performance of her official duties by offering violence to said person, assaulting and attempting to strike and strike Officer Kayla Winkfield,” prosecutors allege in the indictment. document.
The document states that Smith “suggested the death of Kayla Winkfield for the purpose of terrorizing Kayla Winkfield” and “threatened to kill Kayla Winkfield.”

At the time of the incident, Smith was reportedly “intoxicated” as she exited the concert hall, according to police records previously obtained by PEOPLE. She allegedly punched an emergency medical service (EMS) worker and made contact with their right arm. The staff member did not want to press charges.
Smith then allegedly tried to punch the officer who was trying to help her, but did not make contact. Smith, who was tackled to the ground by the officer, was then arrested. According to the report, she allegedly tried to hit the officer several times while he was on the ground, but was unable to re-establish contact.
Then, while Smith was being transported to jail, she allegedly made multiple threats to kill both the officer and the officer’s sister.
Smith was booked into jail around 11:45 p.m. local time and is being held on $8,000 bail, according to jail records obtained by PEOPLE. She was released on bail conditions, including a ban on alcohol, marijuana or non-prescription drugs, and must submit to random tests for all.
