We’re only three days into this Love Island series, and viewers have been split by a couple after spotting a subtle detail in Tuesday night’s episode.
In the latest season, musical performer Molly Marsh has gone to bed with gas engineer Mitchell Taylor, who she paired with in the first episode, when she introduces Mitchell to her teddy bear named Plop’s she.

On Twitter, some fans suggested that the pair were “playing Molly-Mae and Tommy”, the two runners-up on the show’s fifth season.

Other fans were quick to defend the pair, with one tweeting: “I don’t get why people get upset when people are effeminate and assume they’re trying to be the next Molly Mae? like effeminate people they’ve been in love with each other for years and it’s obvious when they do that Molly is doing Ma???” while another added: “Molly Mae is the only one allowed to be a bear according to Twitter.”

Many viewers also praised the couple, with some predicting them to be this year’s champion. One wrote: “Molly & Mitchell, I have a good feeling… they will win”, while another added: “Molly & Mitchell will win 100%”.
