Lupita Nyong'o Steps Out in Show-Stopping Sequined Style at A Quiet Place: Day One N.Y.C. Premiere

Lupita Nyong’o spiced up the red carpet at the film’s premiere in New York on Wednesday A Quiet Place: Day One.

The actress, 41, stars in Peaceful place prequel directed by Michael Sarnoski alongside Joseph Quinn, Alex Wolff, Djimon Hounsou and Denis O’Hare. To celebrate her highly-anticipated release, Nyong’o hit the red carpet wearing a black sequin jumpsuit with a tight skirt and pumps.

Her monochromatic look contrasted with costar Joseph Quinn’s cream suit. Dark red lipstick and dangling diamond earrings completed her look.

It’s no surprise that Nyong’o stunned on the red carpet. In the cover interview for the June 2024 issue Glamourshe said she loves dressing up for the event, despite the fact that she “hates” shopping.

“I love red carpets. You become Cinderella for one night. My life before my career didn’t involve a lot of ball gowns. Now I wear so many and I love it,” she told the outlet.

A Quiet Place: Day One it is also something that she had the “honor” to participate in the project.

“I was very honored to be offered this role because I think it’s a very innovative world that John Krasinski has created. And it’s a fun world. It’s a very specific world. It’s a tense world,” she told PEOPLE earlier in June. . “It’s like it’s under a lion. You commit to that context and go after it. And you ask adults to do it.”

“Imagine a world where you have to be silent in order to survive,” she continued. “It’s exciting to me to be in such a hyper-imaginative world.”

Krasinski acted and directed the first Quiet place film in 2018, along with a sequel from 2020. Both films also starred his wife, Emily Blunt. He is working as a producer on the third film.
