MS Bhaskar (Muthupetai Somu Bhaskar) is an Indian film actor known for appearing in Tamil films and shows. He is best known for his role as Professor Gnanaprakasam in the Tamil film Mozhi (2007).

- Ms. Bhaskar has been interested in acting since childhood. He started his career in voice acting. He said in an interview that he became interested in dubbing through visiting a dubbing studio with his sister Hemamalini, who is a dubbing artist.
- In 1986, he voiced a small role. After some time, he started doing radio and TV series on Durdarshan and All India Radio in Chennai.
- While doing voice acting for the show, one of his friends told him to try out a character. He tried acting and was liked by the director. After that, he started his acting career.
- He worked for a toothpaste company and served as a LIC agent during the tough days.

You won’t see me using the same body language in either film. Can you name any of them? I would turn down a movie when the director told me the role would be just as suitable as the one I played in my last movie. Likewise, when it comes to tongues, there are many. Many people don’t know which is Tirunelveli dialect and which is Tirunelveli dialect. Just because it ends in “ley”, it is not necessarily Tirunelveli slang. In another film, I would be speaking Sangam Tamil for the entire running time. These were all improvisations I made while on location. “
- Bhaskar said he tries to understand the nuances of performance by observing people in their daily activities. In an interview, he spoke about this and said:
