Gone are the days when Uber was only for car rides and takeout.
Macaulay Culkin stars in Uber’s holiday initiative to provide users with all their seasonal needs — from Christmas trees to holiday poets.
In the one-minute clip, the actor, 44, gets cozy in a festively decorated living room as a voiceover narrates: “Macaulay Culkin sits by a warm crackling fire and thinks his thoughts.” Culkin says, “I can’t remember the last time I had the house to myself during the holidays” — a cheeky nod to his role as Kevin McCallister in Alone in the house and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York.
“He’s enjoying a peaceful bliss, and then the urge wakes up,” the voiceover continues in the frame. Culkin adds, “You know what? I’m hungry.”
The narrator explains that the star uses Uber Eats to satisfy his cravings, but is surprised to see more than restaurants in the food delivery app.
“Uber Eats will deliver poets to my door?” Culkin asks before clicking his phone excitedly. “Sing to me.”

When the doorbell rings and Culkin opens the door, the singers immediately break into the lyrics of “Jingle Bells” and hand him his Uber Eats package.
“You too can enjoy the joy of singers at your door on December 7,” the narrator explains before the father-of-two gives his stamp of approval: “They’re pretty good.”

Customers can order carols delivered to their doorstep on Saturday, December 7, in select cities. The carolers will come to “cheer up with the best holiday spirit”, according to the press release. Fans can access the musical drink experience through the “Carolers” in-app store.
The on-demand holiday cheer doesn’t stop there! Uber Eats is also delivering real Christmas trees and holiday decorations starting December 3rd, while supplies last.
“During the holidays, I was left alone, not once, not twice, but three times. But I’m not alone anymore,” Culkin said in a press release, explaining that he didn’t realize all the holiday deals the app was offering and ending on a note of gratitude. “Thank you for almost everything, Uber.”
