Macaulay Culkin Steps Out with Both Sons for the First Time at Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony

Culkin shares his two sons with his fiancée Brenda Song

Macaulay Culkin had a few special visitors in the audience as he accepted the career honor.

The Home alone The alum, 42, accepted a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday, appearing with fiancee Brenda Song, 34, and their two children – a toddler son born earlier this year and son Dakota, 2.

Culkin was filmed kissing the head of his younger son, who was wearing a gray knit vest and had a pacifier in his mouth. The couple’s older son was also seen at the event sitting on a friend’s lap in the row behind his parents and sporting a mohawk.

Culkin gave a shout out to his fiancee Song and their two sons during his speech to thank them for their support. “I would like to thank Brenda. You are absolutely everything,” he said.

“You’re the best person I’ve ever known,” he continued. “And after the birth of our two boys, you became one of my three favorite people.”

In an interview with Cut last year after Dakota’s birth, Song spoke about the couple being “hands-on” parents.

“My fiance and I are very practical. We don’t have a nanny, but my mom has been with us since my son was born… When I was working, my mom would bring [my son] arrange so that I can nurse him and see him during the day. People tell you a lot about childbirth and pregnancy, but not about the fourth trimester,” Song told the paper. “I tell my girlfriends who are pregnant, get help. Because your instinct is that you want to do everything, but physically you can’t.”

“I think when you and your partner have children, especially the first few months, you don’t have the patience to be polite to each other,” she added. “Being communicative when you need help is so important. Instead of having set duties, we just feel each other out. I’m going to put my son down and my partner is like, ‘Let me feed the animals and make dinner.’ ”

Culkin and Song met on the set of their movie Changeland in Thailand, and were first romantically linked when they were spotted going to dinner at Craig’s, an Italian restaurant in Los Angeles, in July 2017.

Although the two actors are notable stars, they have kept their relationship relatively private on social media. The couple welcomed their first child, son Dakota Song Culkin, on April 5, 2021, and their engagement was announced early last year.

“Macaulay and Brenda have loved being together as a family since welcoming Dakota,” a source told PEOPLE. “An engagement is a natural next step for them. They are excited about their future together.”
