He established many production companies and produced many super hit movies. When Madhu was a teenager, he founded a music label, which was later sold to Supreme Recording Company. Later, he established Adlabs International Business Unit under the patronage of Manmohan Shetty.
He later became the head of Saregama Films. He founded Big Bang Media Private Limited in 2007 and serves as its chief creative officer. He founded Phantom Films in 2011 in partnership with Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl and Vikramaditya Motwane. In 2022, after the company was dissolved, he acquired the Phantom brand together with Sheetal Talwar and renamed it Phantom Studios. He is the founder of Mythoverse LPP, which has launched major film adaptations of the Hindu epics Ramayana and Mahabharata, among others.
