Mahant Balak Nath Yogi was born on Monday, 16 April 1984 (39 years old; as of 2023) in Kohrana village, Behror tehsil, Rajasthan. His zodiac sign is Aries. He was named Gurumukh by Baba Khetanath at a very young age. Mahant Balak Nath’s father Subash was an ardent follower of Mahant Khetanath and he named Mahant Balak Nath Gurmukh at birth. Mahant Balak Nath’s father served Baba Khetanath at Baba Khetanath Ashram in Neemrana and promised the Guru that his son’s life would be dedicated to him. At the age of 6, Mahant Balak Nath was handed over to Mahant Khetanath Ashram in Neemrana by his family. After spending 6 months in the monastery, he was sent to Asthal Bohar Rohtak where he was named Balak Nath because of his childish naughtiness. Balak Nath followed the instructions of his Guru and performed strict austerities, ascetic practices, worked in temples, studied the customs of the Nath sect, and performed service duties at numerous ashrams across the country.
Baba Balak Nath was declared the eighth successor of Asthal Bohar on July 29, 2016 in the presence of Brahman Mahant Chand Nath Yogi, UP CM Yogi Adityanath, Yogguru Baba Ramdev and many famous saints from across the country. Mahant Chandnath passed away due to long-term illness on September 17, 2017. After that, Mahant Balak Nath Yogi became the eighth successor of Asthal Bohar, the largest temple of the Nath sect. He also became the Chancellor of Baba Masnat University.
