Major supermarket issues urgent recall of Christmas dinner favourite that could be ‘unsafe to eat’

A MAJOR supermarket has issued an emergency recall of Christmas dinner products after discovering a potential safety issue.

Tesco is recalling its Tesco Red Cabbage & Apple 300G due to a packaging fault which could make the product unsafe for consumption.

This Christmas dinner favorite is a popular choice for festive meals and Tesco said it is acting quickly to ensure customers are safe.

The supermarket apologizes for the inconvenience and encourages customers to check their fridges for the problematic product.

Packages incorrectly show a Use By date of December 29th instead of the correct date of December 11th.

This mislabeling could lead to customers consuming the product beyond its actual expiration date, posing a potential health risk.

Tesco urged customers who bought the product not to eat it. Instead, it should be returned to any Tesco store for a full refund.

No account required. Customers can also contact Tesco Customer Service on 0800 505 555 for further support.

It comes after another supermarket chain pulled the nutritional supplement from its shelves over fears it could contain stones and pieces of metal.

The products of the popular wellness brand founded by Professor Tim Spector have been urgently recalled because the presence of foreign bodies would make them “unsafe to eat”.

Waitrose is recalling ZOE Daily 30+ 7 Day “because it may contain stones and small pieces of metal”, according to a warning from the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

“The possible presence of stones and metal makes this product unsafe to eat,” the food watchdog said.

The supplement – a mix of seeds and spices sprinkled on your meals – should help you include more than 30 plants in your diet each week, which includes herbs and spices as well as fruits and vegetables.

Swallowing small, hard objects such as rocks can also pose a choking hazard, especially for young children.

This is not the first time that metal pieces and stones have been found in food.

In October, Marks & Spencer recalled batches of butternut squash soup over fears they contained bits of metal.
