Malav A. Dani is an Indian businessman and entrepreneur. He is the second generation heir of the Danny family, one of the founding families of Asian Paints Limited. He is currently a non-executive director and chairman of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of Asian Paints. He is also the Managing Director of Hitech Corporation Limited, a BSE listed plastics and packaging company.

In August 1999, he began cooperating with the American multinational group General Electric Company (GE). He is certified in General Electric’s Information Management Leadership Program (IMLP) and Quality Six Sigma Black Belt Program (1999-2005). The certifications include IMLP (Data Warehouse), IMLP (Enterprise Resource Planning Implementation (ERP)), IMLP (Auditor) and IMLP (Honeywell Acquisition and Integration). Then came the two-year Quality Six Sigma Black Belt program before being a digital leader in the Treasury Department. In addition to being a non-executive director of Asian Paints Limited, he is also the Chairman of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee. The company was founded by his grandfather Suryakant Dani along with his three friends Champaklal Choksey, Chimanlal Choksi and Arvind Vakil in February 1942 in Girgaon Gawadi, Mumbai. He served as Executive Chairman of Hitech Group for 15 years. 2007 to 2022. In 2011, he served as joint managing director of Hitech Group. Thereafter, he became its managing director. He also served as a process consultant and evaluator for Hitech Plast Ltd, leading the company to be recognized as one of the “100 Best and Fastest-Growing Manufacturing Companies in Asia 2013-14” jointly by World Consulting and Research Corporation (WCRC) and KPMG. From 2009 to 2013, he served as Chairman of the Young Leaders Forum of the Indian Merchants Chamber (IMC). He has held various positions in IMC such as Chairman, Ease of Doing Business in India (2017-18) and Chairman – Green Transport and Water Sustainability Committee (2019-20). One of his major achievements as chairman was to propose a strategic plan to the Joint Parliamentary Standing Committee on Commerce of the Union House to improve India’s performance in the ease of doing business rankings.
He sits on the boards of 12 companies with ties to the Denny family. In 2005, he became the Senior Manager, Quality and Customer Center at Asian Paints and held this position for a year. In 2016, Malav founded a non-profit organization called Sab Ka Mangal Ho (Health for All). The aim of the organization is to effectively arrange yoga and values education training in orphanages across the country.
