Some big changes are on the way to Maluma!
The Colombian rapper and singer, 29, revealed that he and girlfriend Susana Gomez are expecting their first child, along with the release of his new music video for “Procura,” which he debuted at his concert in Washington DC on Thursday night.
During his concert at the Capital One Arena — the last stop on his Don Juan tour — he announced that he would be showing the crowd his new music video and took a seat on stage to watch it as it premiered. For the first time, fans were able to see some of his more intimate moments showcasing his growing family, as well as revealing the gender of his child.
The music video features some home videos of Maluma, whose real name is Juan Luis Londoño Arias, and Gomez traveling and having fun together. The visual then cuts to the couple going to the doctor’s office, where Gomez can be seen going for an ultrasound. The “Según Quién” singer apparently gets emotional when he sees the picture for the first time.

The video also shows the couple sharing the big news with their families and Gomez’s growing belly over the past few months. The whole thing ends with scenes of fun with friends and family at the couple’s gender reveal. The couple can be seen counting down on the rooftop balcony as pink smoke fills the air, signifying they are having a baby girl.
The singer also hinted at what she would name her daughter during the gender reveal party, as the camera focused on a diamond necklace Gomez was wearing that had the name “Paris” written on it.
He later confirmed the name in an interview with NPR, saying, “Paris, our beautiful daughter, is growing in mommy’s belly and she’s giving me so many reasons to keep dreaming… She’s my everything right now.”

He added that becoming a father is “such a big dream” and said he even sings to Gomez’s belly, hoping his daughter can hear him.
“It’s perfect timing,” Maluma said. “I mean, all the beautiful things that I live. I’m looking for more personal experiences too, you know? I love my music. I love being on tour, but I also want to continue to grow as a human being, not just as an artist.”

“My dad says, ‘Wait until you hold her in your arms. Wait for that feeling and then wait for them to start walking…’ said Maluma. “It’s a wonderful trip, you know I’m here to learn. I think these kids came into this world to teach us a bunch of things so I’m ready to learn.”
He continued: “It’s crazy. It’s a crazy feeling that only parents can understand… but I just love this feeling and my days are brighter than ever.”
