A MAN has suffered catastrophic injuries after a machete fight in central London.
Oxford Street descended into chaos in the early hours of New Year’s Day after two men were caught brawling with large knives.

Officers were called to the busy street just after 3am following reports of a violent row.
One man suffered what paramedics described as catastrophic bleeding and was rushed to a trauma center.
Police said no arrests have been made since the search was launched.
A large crime scene was discovered as officers carried out a forensic examination of the area – while Bond Street Tube station was closed.
A witness from the scene said: “It was terrifying – people were screaming and running. The area was filled with police and paramedics within minutes.”
The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that no arrests have been made so far and that they are working to find the people involved.
A police spokesman said: “We were called to Oxford Street at 3.05am to reports of a fight involving machetes. One man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
“The crime scene remains in place and our inquiries are ongoing.”
Authorities are urging anyone with information, cell phone footage or footage of the incident to come forward immediately.
