He made his film debut in 2013 with the Gujarati film Saptapadii. He then made a cameo appearance in the Punjabi film Love You, Soniye. Manav has also played small roles in Bollywood films Super 30 and Baaghi 3.

In 2006, the media claimed that Manav and his wife Shweta Kawatra distributed 200 SIM cards to family and friends to get more votes in the dance reality show “Nach Baliye 2”. Rumors were that they bought the prepaid SIM cards from a dealer in Andheli and registered them in the name of the dealer’s employees. However, the couple later denied the rumours and said that the stories were just made up to ruin their chances of winning the show.
