“I’m sure I’ll probably look back years later and say, ‘What was I thinking?’ But I think the fashion of the late 90s, early 2000s was not my cup of tea. Even then I said, ‘I don’t like these low-waisted jeans. This is not for me.’ But I did it! It’s not something I would go back to now,” she says with a laugh. “I know it’s popular again. But you live and learn, that’s part of being young.”

And speaking of the 2000s, Moore also recently revealed to PEOPLE what her favorite part of “Candy” actually is.

“I’m a big fan of the speaking part,” she said. “I love it [it] because it doesn’t make sense to me: ‘You know who you are. Your love is as sweet as candy. I will be yours forever. Love always, Mandy.’ I remember when I used to do that and thought this is crazy. This is so weird. Will this work? Will people understand this?”

“We have our bedtime routine with Gus and it involves reading books and telling stories, which we call ‘once upon a time,’ and then singing songs,” she said. “Usually we sing a song of mine that’s from my last album that no one knows, but Gus knows and is looking for. But the other day he said, ‘Sing, “I want to be with you”.’ And I was like, what do you think? And he said, “I want to be with you.” And I said, “How do you know that song?”
