Badale is associated with many charitable organizations. He is a director of the British Asia Trust. He was Chairman of Operation Smile UK for over 10 years and is a former partner of Monitor Company, having worked in Germany, India and the UK. He also established the Late Eighties Fund at Cambridge University to help students in need of financial aid. Tax evasion on purchase of Rajasthan Royals
Manoj Badale has been accused of tax evasion while purchasing IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals through his company Emerging Media Limited. It is alleged that he had business links with the then chairman of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Lalit Modi. His name was initially registered in the FIR; however, after investigation, the post was removed and he was acquitted of all charges.
