Mariah Carey Reveals a Delicious Christmas Tradition She Shares with Her Daughter Monroe (Exclusive)

Mariah Carey is always cooking something.

For the upcoming holiday season, the Queen of Christmas shares her favorite holiday traditions as she teams up with SiriusXM’s Holly this month.

“I love to cook during the holidays,” says Carey, 55. “I make linguine with white clam sauce — my dad’s favorite recipe. I make it every year, and sometimes my daughter Monroe helps me make it.”

Carey shares 13-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan with ex-husband Nick Cannon.

“It’s something I love to do,” he adds of his delicious tradition.

The “Obsessed” singer also has a festive project that will serve as the perfect soundtrack for fans’ holiday traditions. Carey will take over SiriusXM’s Holly with Mariah Mondays on Mondays, December 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd from 6am to midnight.

During Mariah Monday, Carey will “mix holiday classics with holiday hits,” according to a press release. Fans can be on the lookout for songs including Kelly Clarkson’s “Underneath the Tree,” a rendition of Aretha Franklin’s “Winter Wonderland,” and Stevie Wonder singing “Someday at Christmas.”

And, of course, everyone’s favorite holiday songs from Carey herself, including “All I Want for Christmas is You.”

In addition to talking about her holiday traditions, Carey teases what she has in store for 2025. She says she’s working on new music, and while she doesn’t want to talk too much about it, she calls it “exciting.”

“There are things that have to do with my book and my screenplay series,” she continues. “So many things, but I don’t want to go too far into it, because then everyone will say: ‘Why did you tell us that and it didn’t happen?’ ”

“So let’s hope this is enough,” Carey concludes. Carey published her memoirs Meaning of Mariah in 2020, which became a The New York Times bestseller. Meanwhile, a script for a series about her life has been in the works since 2017, Deadline reported.
