Kanchan Joshi’s husband Deepinder Goyal is the co-founder of Indian multinational restaurant aggregator and food delivery company Zomato. According to reports, Kanchan Joshi met Deepinder Goyal at IIT Delhi, when the two were in the same department. Goyal fell in love with her while she was pursuing her master’s degree in mathematics. According to Goyal, he pursued Kanchan for six weeks before proposing to her. He once shared his love story in a media conversation. Deepinder Goyal said,
I chased her for six months by hanging out with her. We know each other very well. We haven’t had a fight in years. “
The couple got married on November 17, 2007.
They have a daughter named Siara Goyal, born on October 29, 2013. The couple later separated. In February 2024, Deepinder married Mexican model and entrepreneur Grecia Muñoz.
