Mark Ronson’s Baby Girl Goes into a ‘Trance’ When She Hears Billie Eilish’s ‘Bewitching’ Voice (Exclusive)

Mark Ronson’s little girl inherited her dad’s love for music.

In the latest issue of PEOPLE, the DJ and producer, 48, talks about how his one-year-old daughter had a special reaction when she heard a song by Billie Eilish, with whom he collaborated on Barbie: Album for 2023 Barbie.

“My mom has a gramophone in the house and we listened [Barbie] vinyl. ‘What was I made for?’ came on, and you could tell — something about Billie’s voice and how enchanting that song is, she went into a little trance,” Ronson says of his daughter, who he shares with wife Grace Gummer.

“I sent Billie a video, like ‘Look what you’re doing to these kids,'” the “Uptown Funk” hitmaker adds.

Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Ronson’s sister, exclusively confirmed the birth to PEOPLE in March of that year, saying, “[Gummer] just had a baby. He is two and a half months old [old] now. She’s stunning.”

Gummer, Meryl Streep’s daughter, first revealed the couple’s exciting baby news in October 2022, when she showed off her baby bump at W Magazine’s 50th anniversary party in New York.

Mark Ronson on life with Grace Gummer and their daughter: ‘My family is my anchor’ (Exclusive)

Since becoming a father, Ronson tells PEOPLE that his priorities have changed a bit. “My family is my anchor,” he says. “As far as everything goes, they pre-plan my every decision.”

“The most important thing is to be there [my daughter], well I’ve never had that — I mean, obviously with a woman too, I love her; I never want to be apart from her for more than a day if I don’t have to,” continues Ronson. “Sometimes I have to be away to write music and do whatever I have to do.”

He adds: “But it’s like once you have a child, it really becomes everything that’s the most important thing now.”
