The devastating news comes just weeks after it was revealed that Mark and his wife Michelle Keegan are expecting their first child together.
Eddie died on Monday night surrounded by his family and loved ones, a spokesman told the Mail.
Shortly after Eddie was hospitalized, Mark’s father Big’ Mark Wright shared a photo of his father on Instagram.
He proudly wrote: “Happy Father’s Day to the best, unfortunately in hospital at the moment after a fall a few days ago, but Dad I’m coming up to see you, be strong.”
Eddie appeared in the BBC series Who Do You Think You Are? 2019 alongside her former Towie star grandson.
Mark previously said that his grandfather motivated him to record the show.
He said: “I’ve always wanted to know our family history because my grandfather always guessed where we came from. But no one ever found out.
“They told my family that we are Italian and to be able to give it back to him is great. He has done so much for us, he is our king.
“It’s hard to repay him, but this was the moment before it was too late.”
Last week, Mark and Michelle announced the happy news on social media.

They shared a stunning photo of Michelle hugging her baby bump on the beach in Mallorca as Mark walks towards her.
They titled the post: “2025 will be special for us…”
Revealing why they chose the Spanish island for their special photo shoot, a source told The Sun: “Michelle and Mark went on a winter holiday in the sun at the beginning of November and decided to have their photo shoot there.
“It was taken by a friend on an empty beach when they knew no one would notice them.
“Majorca is like a second home to them, so it was special for them to take that photo there.
“The lighting and the setting were perfect, it was a beautiful moment.”
Right time
Presenter Mark and actress Michelle, both 37, face constant questions about the babies.
But Mark once admitted that he wanted to wait until he was done traveling the world.
Both he and Michelle are stretched all over the place with their busy jobs.
She recently filmed the second series of the BBC drama Ten Pound Poms in Australia.
And Mark told the Mirror: “I just want to make sure I travel. I’m getting to the point where I just want to settle down at home and have a job that brings me home every day, but I’m not quite there yet.”
Michelle also hit on the constant questions about when she’s having a baby.
She previously said: “It’s terrible.
“People don’t know if we’re trying. They don’t know the background of what’s going on.
“In this day and age, you shouldn’t ask questions like that. They only ask me because I’m a woman.
“But now I’m immune to it – it’s like a reaction, and as soon as I hear it, I dismiss it because it’s nobody else’s business.”
