Marlon Wayans: God Loves Me, an upcoming HBO Max comedy special, is scheduled for release and available to watch on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at 3AM ET/12:01PM PT. The series is Wayans’ third film with HBO Max, following Marlon Wayans: You Know What It Is in 2021. Marlon Wayans: God Loves Me is produced by Troy Miller and written and sung by Wayans. Rick Alvarez, Michael Rotenberg, Steve Harris, Miller and Wayans executive produced the hour-long show.

On February 18, 2023, the initial trailer for Marlon Wayans: God Loves Me was released on YouTube. It started with Wayans starring in a fiery feud involving Chris Rock and Will Smith at the 2022 Oscars.
He then describes his friendship with Rock, calling him his “brutal half-brother” who constantly pressures him for new comedic content. The comic then admitted that he was impressed with Jada Pinkett Smith and recounted an amusing incident between them. Marlon Wayans screams at the end of the video: “God loves me!”
Marlon Wayans: God Loves Me is likely to be Wayans’ closest work to date.
In an Instagram video in support of Marlon Wayans: God Loves Me, the actor and comedian took notice of the infamous hit, revealing that it “shaken something” inside him.
Wayans stated:
“He shocked me to the bone and made me reevaluate my existence, both emotionally and professionally.”
Will, Chris, and Jada are his friends, and his “emotional relationship” with them has given him “a clear view of what happened.”
