They exchanged lavish photos and had sex in her apartment between 2020 and 2021.

She was 17 years younger and under his command.

Greenwood, left his 20-year career ahead of a misconduct hearing, which will decide today whether he should be fired.

Howarth had a partner at the time and had previously posted photos of herself in revealing outfits on social media.

The hearing was told that a “functional alcoholic” Greenwood took advantage of the age gap after helping her join West Yorkshire Police at the age of 20.

Admits gross misconduct.

John Beggs KC, a spokesman for the force, said: “It should have been obvious that she was vulnerable because of the huge difference in age and rank.”
