Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson are celebrating a monumental occasion for their eldest daughter.
In an exclusive clip shared with PEOPLE ahead of the season finale Married to real estate, the couple is preparing to attend their daughter Simone’s graduation. The couple are parents to daughters Kendall (12) and Harper (5), while Jackson is the father of Simone from a previous relationship.
“It’s a family thing because what we want our younger ones to see is that our older ones did it,” Sherrod says in the confessional. “And she mastered this. But they know hey, hey, the bar is set high. This is the expectation.β

The scene is cut to a shot of Simone’s graduation, where she smiles as she walks through the crowd toward her parents.
“So Simone went to school for fashion merchandising and design,” explains Sherrod.
As she reflects on her daughter’s milestone, Jackson says she can’t believe where the time has gone.
“You know, they’re small. And then, they graduate – says the proud dad. “Where does the time go?”
“Because she already has a job. Fresh out of college, full-time job, which is a huge accomplishment,” raves Sherrod. “We were the loudest people the entire prom.”
In the sweet clip, Sherrod can be heard asking her daughter for a big smile.
“In that moment, you watch her walk across the stage and you think, ‘Not only did she do it, we did it as a unit,'” Jackson says in the confessional.
“Yes, I pulled her out,” she adds, and her husband agrees.
In the previous episode Married to real estateSherrod opened up about her relationship with Simone, revealing that the two are very close.
“I’ve been in her life since she was three,” Sherrod said of Simone. βShe’s my baby. you ask me [I say] I have three daughters.”
In an episode of her reality series last year, Sherrod admitted that as she watches her children grow up, it feels like “everything is moving too fast.”
“We can’t show any signs of being sad, no side of anything but happy faces because this is a big benchmark for her. Mom is just fighting inside,” she said of daughter Harper’s first day of school.
Season finale Married to real estate airs Thursday, March 14 on HGTV. All three seasons are now streaming on Max.
