Oleh, her father, was the technical director of the Antey Cup, a junior tennis tournament held in Kyiv. Talina, her mother, was a professional tennis player who reached a career WTA ranking of 391.
Talina also represented the Ukrainian tennis team and won the $10,000 title in Kiev in 1994. Taras Beiko, Martin’s uncle, is a retired tennis player, and Mariya Kostyuk, Martin’s sister, played college tennis for Chicago State University and Southeast Missouri State University. Marta is also related to professional soccer players Vadym and Myroslav Slavova, as well as gymnast Oksana Slavova.
