School timings changed in Kashmir: School education in Kashmir has issued an order to change the school timings in Kashmir. According to the published notice, school dates in the region have been changed due to changing weather conditions and falling temperatures. The revised timings will apply from today, November 1, 2023 for both state and private schools.

As per the order issued, Kashmir Division schools will start an hour later than the current time. Directorate of School Education, Kashmir (DSEK) has shared the revised timings for schools in Srinagar district municipal limits. Schools will be open from 10 am to 3 pm in Srinagar. However, schools outside the Srinagar municipal region will operate from 10:30 AM to 3:20 PM.

The authorities announced that the respective institutions must comply with the issued orders and instructions, and any deviation in relation to them will be taken seriously.

School timings in Kashmir during summer were from 9 am to 3 pm. Jammu and Kashmir Meteorological Department has predicted rain and snow over higher areas on November 2 and 3, 2023. The Meteorological Department has also predicted cloudy weather with possibility of light rain and snow over isolated and isolated higher regions of Jammu and Kashmir. Students and parents are advised to contact their schools for further information and detailed notifications about the change in school terms.
