Martha Stewart is swimming in her success Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover shoot, in which the 82-year-old businessman was dressed in nine different swimsuits on the beaches of the Dominican Republic.
The multi-hyphenate loved the experience so much that she told PEOPLE she would definitely do another swimsuit shoot. But she focused her gaze on something revealing – a bikini!
“I’m working on my bikini body now,” Stewart told PEOPLE on the 2023 red carpet. News about footwear Achievement Awards, held in New York on Wednesday. She also revealed that her “new goal” is to work with the cameras in two parts the next time she’s asked to grace another cover.
Looking back at her SI Swimsuit debut, the author and media mogul said that “every day” on set in the Dominican Republic “was fun.”

Back in May, Stewart spoke exclusively to PEOPLE about how she prepared for the shoot.
“I tried on all the swimwear and clothes the night before the shoot and there were so many things to try on,” she said. “You have to throw your modesty out the window because they poke you, pull you and straighten you up – so I had to grin and bear it.”
Physically, Stewart “did pilates three, maybe four times a week and didn’t drink — she didn’t drink any alcohol for two months.” She also continued with regular facials and was very careful about what she put in and on her body.

Breaking down barriers by becoming SI To swimBeing the oldest model was something Stewart wanted to do for herself. However, it was also an opportunity to show other women what was possible.
“It’s important to face challenges, whether they’re beauty challenges or intellectual challenges, even philanthropic challenges,” she said. “To be able to get up and do that – for me – is so much fun! And this is to achieve something that not everyone would achieve.”

Martha Stewart and Snoop Dogg friendship timeline
Stewart, who presented the award to the president and co-founder of Skechers and News about footwear honoree Michael Greenberg, arrived at the awards ceremony dressed in an iridescent, festive suit.
The design featured a baggy blazer and wide leg trousers. She accessorized with a gold beaded necklace and earrings, as well as a metallic bag that matched her towering heels.
She and her friend Snoop Dogg, dressed in a tracksuit and Skechers sneakers with a colorful motif, walked the carpet together hand in hand.
The duo, who have each collaborated with Skechers on their own shoe lines, then took the stage to award Greenberg.
