Matt Lauer’s reunion with his ex Today co-stars from the show went smoothly, a source tells PEOPLE exclusively.
Lauer, 65, attended Today the wedding of producer Jennifer Long and Reid Sterrett in New York on Saturday, which was also attended by Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, Hoda Kotb, Sheinelle Jones and Craig Melvin. (Jenna Bush Hager, meanwhile, was out of town for a book fair in Maine.)
“Matt Lauer was completely normal, friendly and warm to his ex Today to show colleagues at the wedding,” says the source. “There was no inconvenience. Everyone was talking.”
As for how Lauer and Guthrie, 51 — who co-hosted the show for five years before Lauer was fired in 2017 — are getting along, the insider says, “Savannah gave Matt a hug and they talked for a few minutes.”
“Everyone was justifiably happy to be there,” the source added.

The wedding marked the first time the former co-hosts have been photographed in the same public place since Lauer’s exit from the show — the result of sexual assault allegations against him by former network employee Brooke Nevils, which he has denied.
Several other women later came forward with similar experiences after Nevils broke her silence.

Lauer was joined at the wedding by his girlfriend Shamin Abbas, while Guthrie attended with her husband Michael Feldman.
TJ Holmes and Amy Robach were also in attendance, and a source tells PEOPLE that the couple “were on top of each other and enjoying themselves all night.”
The rocker, 69, officiated the ceremony between the longtime producer and her now-husband, a source tells PEOPLE, adding that songs like Lionel Richie’s “All Night Long” and ABBA’s “Dancing Queen” were played.

As for the other guests, the insider says they knew Long and Sterrett were getting married, “but the format was for it to be a surprise.”
“The theme was ‘yacht rock,'” adds the source. “Personalized captain’s caps were handed out to the guests, and the band AM Gold played light rock music.”
The insider notes that Kotb, 59, and Guthrie “loved dancing to the band” throughout the night, with Guthrie being among the last guests on the dance floor.
