Matthew Perry’s former assistant looks back on their time together after his death.

In an emotional and heartfelt tribute on Instagram, Briana Brancato shared a carousel of pictures of the couple over the years along with a sweet message.

“I have expressed my deepest gratitude to him on numerous occasions, not only for guiding me into a career that I cherish, but also for allowing me to take care of him for 7 years,” she captioned the post. “With [with] countless other experiences for which I am grateful. From witnessing his genius to participating in his mundane adventures living around the world, he took me on an extraordinary journey.”

Brancato said her “heart is heavy” but believes “celebrating my memories is the deepest way to honor his legacy.” “I hope Mattman is sending us signs up there in the great beyond. We really need them,” she added. “You will forever be in my heart. 💔🕊️ I love you Matty.”

Perry died on Saturday at the age of 54 at his home in Los Angeles. According to TMZ, which first reported the death, law enforcement sources said no drugs were found at the scene. There were also no signs of foul play.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed to PEOPLE that an autopsy has been completed and the results are pending a toxicology report. However, the online record has the status of the actor’s cause of death currently listed as “delayed” as “further investigation is pending.”

On Sunday, Perry’s family said in a statement to PEOPLE that they are “heartbroken” by his “tragic” death.

“We are heartbroken at the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother. Matthew brought so much joy to the world, both as an actor and as a friend,” they said. “You all meant so much to him and we appreciate the tremendous outpouring of love.”

Perry was best known for his role as Chandler Bing Friends from 1994 to 2004. 10 seasons. Every season of the Max broadcast now begins with a tribute to him, with the caption “In memory of Matthew Perry” next to a picture of the actor. His year of birth and death are also listed on the cover.
