MAURA Higgins reckons she’ll be friends with Barry McGuigan on I’m A Celeb – despite dating his son.
The series newcomer, 33, thinks they’ll hit it off when she arrives at main camp because they’re both Irish and share a similar sense of humour.

The Sun exclusively revealed Maura briefly dated boxing legend Barry’s son Shane, 36, after meeting him while working as a ring girl for William Hill in 2018.
She worked on the fight between David Haye and Tony Bellew, which Shane covered for the radio station.
Maura caught the eye of boxing coach Shane, who asked her out.
They dated for a short time before breaking up and remaining friends.
Before heading into the Australian jungle, Maura told The Sun: “I already know Tulisa. So I’ll definitely get on with her. She’s amazing. I reckon I’d get on really well with Barry McGuigan.
“You know, the Irishman… I think he’s very funny.
“I never met him (while I was dating Shane).
“But I think he’d be my cup of tea, with humor and such.”
Maura also said she was looking forward to meeting Coleen Rooney – so she could discuss the Wagatha Christie saga with her.
She said: “I want to talk to her about it. I’m a little curious as such.

“I would do the same as Coleen.
I would probably put something on my Story and have certain people look at it to catch that person. That’s the way my brain would work.
“It was crazy, wild. I would definitely do the same thing.”
Maura appeared on last night’s I’m A Celeb – but was sent to the Jungle Junkyard with fellow latecomer Rev Richard Coles, 62.
They live in luxury for the first few days – but they have to make the other celebs think they’re missing out before they head to the main venue.
Maura arrived Down Under with a hangover from hell after 48 hours of drinking in Las Vegas.
She also insisted she is “very much single” – despite rumors of a romance with Pete Wicks, 36.
