Former Love Islander Maura, 34, made several cheeky admissions during her time on the show, including one where she revealed she told her mother “EVERYTHING!”.
But Sharon has now said her daughter sometimes gives out “too much” information.
Speaking to The Mirror, she said: “I would say to her on Facetime, ‘is everything OK? Are you happy in all aspects of your relationship?’
“And she’d always try to embarrass me by saying this, that and that, and I’d say, ‘Too much information. I don’t need to know, I don’t need to know.’

“She likes to embarrass me.”
Meanwhile, The Sun exclusively revealed earlier today that Sharon is yet to meet her hustling lover Pete Wicks.
She told us: “I don’t know him. I only know what she told me, which is that she’s single. She’s just finding her way.
“I assume that she is single, she is a young woman, she will go out. Apparently he doesn’t want anything serious yet, so I don’t know.
“I never watch Strictly. I’ve never been interested in it. It’s not a show I’ve ever watched, so I’m not going to start now.”

Commenting on this, Sharon told us: “I’ve always raised my kids to stand up for themselves. You have to do that in this life.
“Maura always listened to that side of things with me.
“Because you can’t go and let people insult you.
“If there’s something that someone says is inappropriate, you have the right to speak up and tell them, ‘No, you can’t do that.’

“I like that he can stand up for himself.
“But the other side of Maura is that if she has a problem with someone, she will tell them.
“She doesn’t hold a grudge. If it gets ironed out, forget it.”
Asked about her friendship with Reverend Richard Coles – with whom she lived in the Jungle Junkyard – Sharon said: “Maura gets on with everyone.

“That was the highlight for me – I loved the banter between the two of them. I was hooked, I loved it.
“Maura likes to meet new people, and everyone she meets is a friend for life. That’s how she is.
“Maura is Maura. She has a small mouth, but she’s witty. I think that’s just Maura’s character.
“She’s fun-loving and a lively girl. She always somehow brightens up any situation by cracking jokes and having fun.”
I am a celebrity in 2024
I’m a Celebrity returns for its 24th series, featuring a group of famous faces living in the Australian jungle. The Sun’s Jake Penkethman took a look at the stars on this year’s show..
Coleen Rooney – probably the most famous name in the camp, the leading WAG, famous for her marriage to Wayne Rooney, has made a big return to TV as she looks to put the Wagatha Christie scandal behind her. Tulisa – The pop star and former X Factor judge made her triumphant TV return by signing up for this year’s I’m A Celeb after years of avoiding TV shows. Alan Halsall – The actor, known for his long-running role as Tyrone Dobbs in ITV’s Coronation Street, was originally signed to host Down Under last year, but surgery knocked out his planned appearance. Now he has become the latest Corrie star to win over both viewers and his fellow celebrities.
Melvin Odoom – Radio DJ has become a regular face on TV screens after making a name for himself with leading roles on Kiss FM, BBC Radio 1 and 4Music. Melvin has already rocked the Strictly dancefloor and hosted The Xtra Factor with Rochelle Humes in 2015, but now he faces his biggest challenge yet – the Australian jungle.
GK Barry – Britain’s biggest social media personality, GK, whose real name is Grace Keeling, has turned her TikTok fame into a lucrative career. Oti Mabuse – professional dancer has signed up for her latest TV show after working her way through the biggest programs on the box. Jane Moore – Star of The Loose Women and columnist for The Sun is bravely fighting the creepy crawlies this year. The star is ready for a new challenge – she recently separated from her husband. It will be Jane’s first foray into reality TV with the TV darling who has always said no to reality shows in the past.
Barry McGuigan – Former professional boxer Barry is the latest fighting champion to head Down Under following in the footsteps of Tony Bellew and Amir Khan. It comes after a difficult few years for Irish star Barry, who lost his daughter Danica to bowel cancer. He told The Late Late Show in 2021: “She was such an integral part of the family that it hurts us every day.”
