Meat Loaf’s Wife Honors Rocker on 2nd Anniversary of His Death: ‘Missing My Beautiful Husband’

Meat Loaf is being paid tribute by his wife on the second anniversary of his death.

The “Bat Out of Hell” rocker’s wife Deborah Aday paid a touching tribute to her late husband by sharing a photo of him on Saturday.

“I miss my beautiful husband,” Deborah wrote over a photo on Facebook of the singer sitting at a table at home with what appeared to be their pet.

The couple had been married for almost 15 years at the time Meat Loaf died after they tied the knot in 2007.

Meat Loaf — who was born Marvin Lee Aday before changing his name to Michael Lee Aday — died at the age of 74 on January 21, 2022. The singer and actor was surrounded by Deborah and daughters Amanda and Pearl at the time of his death. with his first wife Leslie Aday.

Pearl also paid tribute to her late father over the weekend with an emotional message on Instagram.

“One second of live smiles,” she wrote as she shared a boomerang shot of the pair smiling together. “I love you dad. I wish we had more time.”

“This day was a good visit. Nashville. I remember holding your hand between the armchairs,” she added. “You were listening to a new rough demo of a song I just wrote with @warddavismusic. We laughed. You told me about the new record you want to record. We ate bad takeout.”

“It was cold outside. The TV was on as always. We sat for hours until it got dark. We had a big hug,” Pearl continued. “I’m grateful to have caught this little moment. We miss you and we love you. Flash.”

The heartfelt family tribute comes after Deborah posted a birthday message to her husband on his 76th birthday in September.

“A very happy 76th day to Meath!!!” she wrote then on Facebook. “Truth be told, we celebrated birthdays simply (not that there weren’t other memorable birthdays along the way), but we certainly recognized a special day.”

“The only faithful tradition we had was cake or muffins with lit candles and singing the song “Happy Birthday” that we all know so well. Obviously I got the better end of the deal because Meat had such a beautiful voice,” Deborah continued, adding, “Thank you all for celebrating this special day with me!”
