Loana Lecomte, the French mountain riding star, has the support of her parents, Loco and Cathy Lecomte. Loana got acquainted with cycling when she was eight years old. She was born in Annecy, France on August 8, 1999. She started riding at the age of eight and won the national junior title in 2016 and 2017.
Loana joined the Massi Bikes team in 2019 after moving up to the U23 division. In 2020, she won the U23 world and European championships, as well as the world team relay title with France. In 2021, Loana dominated the UCI XCO World Cup, winning six of seven events and the overall championship. She also won the national elite title for the first time. Loana went to Canyon CLLCTV XCO Team1 in 2022 and won the European Elite Championship in Munich, beating compatriot Pauline Ferrand-Prévot. She finished second to Ferrand-Prévot at the world championships in Glasgow 2023. She also won a silver medal with France in the team relay.

Loana Lecomte suffered a minor injury after the XCC World Cup race in Albstadt, Germany on May 7, 2022. After the race, she took to Instagram to share her emotions. Her message was humorous, showing her ability to find positivity in bad circumstances. Loana characterized her day as the end of a “sandwich” and jokingly referred to herself as the “cheese” in the equation.
