Megan Fox Says She’s ‘Not Willing to Explain’ Current Status of Machine Gun Kelly Engagement

Megan Fox is keeping quiet about the details of her relationship with Machine Gun Kelly.

During her appearance on Call her dad podcast, the Jennifer’s body the actress said “what I’ve learned from this relationship is that it’s not for public use,” after host Alex Cooper noted their public engagement and relationship feud.

“So I don’t think I have any comments on the relationship status, per se,” said Fox (37) when asked how she would describe her relationship with MGK (33).

“What I can say, that [he is] what I call my twin soul, and there will always be a connection with him, no matter what. I can’t say for sure what the capacity will be, but I will always be somehow connected to it.”

“Other than that, I’m not willing to explain,” Fox added. “But all those things you said were exact things that happened, and I can see them being confusing or interesting to people and them thinking, ‘What’s up?’ ”

Fox and musician MGK (born Colson Baker) have been romantically linked since 2020, when they were first spotted spending quality time together. The couple then got engaged in January 2022.

Their relationship appears to have been on the rocks for a while after a source told PEOPLE in February 2023 that they “got into a fight over the weekend,” and Fox appeared to hint at a potential breakup with MGK on Instagram before temporarily deleting her account .

The couple was last seen vacationing together in Mexico in early March. In December, a source familiar with Fox and MGK told PEOPLE that the couple are “still on” after another source told PEOPLE that they “had another big fight” and that “it’s always the same thing.”

“They have serious trust issues in the relationship. It was difficult, but [they’re] I’m still trying to work through it,” the source added at the time.

Fox published a book of poetry under the title Nice guys are toxic in November that covers her feelings about her many romantic relationships.

Although she did not deal with the status of her romance with MGK further Call her dadshe noted that some of those songs were about the musician, though she emphasized that she “didn’t really write anything about him that he didn’t say about himself in his music.”

“Even though he says all the same things, I felt different in this format, so obviously he should be asked about his experience,” she said of MGK’s reaction to her poetry. “But it wasn’t easy and I think he was very nervous and worried.”
