As a student, she Was an active participant in school plays and plays. Although her family did not support her choice of acting career, she went against their wishes. Her personal life was derailed when she became pregnant as a teenager. Her father could not bear the news and passed away in shock. She dropped out of school to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. Initially, she appeared in the TV series Kasautii Zindagii Kay and she never looked back after that. She has appeared in several Hindi television serials and has become a mainstream actress in Marathi films. She went on to win the first season of Bigg Boss Marathi in 2018, after which her fame reached its peak.

Megha Dhade was born into a middle-class Marathi Hindu Bhogal family. Although her father died when she was a teenager, little is known about her parents. She has two siblings, a sister and a brother. When her brother learned of her pregnancy, he didn’t speak to her for about seven years.
She had an affair with a boy as a teenager, got pregnant with him and later gave birth to a girl, whom she named ‘Sakshi’.

However, she later married an engineer named Aditya Pawaskar, who was a divorcee and had a son named Vedant from a previous marriage.

She has been fascinated by the world of glamor since she was a child, but was opposed by her conservative family; because they wanted her to focus on her studies. However, Mejia’s passion for acting prompted her to drop out of college. To pursue an acting career, she moved to Mumbai from Jalgaon, where she had no connections, and started auditioning for Hindi television serials. After months of hard work, she landed a role in Ekta Kapoor’s daily soap Kasautii Zindagii Kay. After that, she appeared in many Hindi TV series including “Kis Dhesh Mai Hai Mera Dil” and “Kasturi”. 
After working in daily soaps, Megha turned her attention to Marathi films. In 2009, she did her first Marathi film Maan Sanman. Entering Marathi cinema was quite a brave move but it paid off well. Over the years, she has established herself as a mainstream Marathi actress and entered production with the film Superstar (2011).

Megha was declared the winner of Bigg Boss Marathi 1 on June 22, 2018 and won a prize money of Rs 1.86 crore.
In the same year, she entered the Bigg Boss 12 House as a wildcard.
