Just days after stepping out in Montecito, California, Meghan Markle walked the red carpet in Los Angeles for DiversityThe ‘Power of Women’ event.
The event celebrates the celebrants of the Power of Women publication, who each get their own Diversity cover. Meghan (42) was honored last year, and she told reporters on the red carpet that she was “proud” to be present and support her.
This year’s winners of the Power of Women award are Fantasia Barrino, Billie Eilish, Lily Gladstone and Carey Mulligan. LuckyChap co-founders Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara were honored with the Producer of the Year award.

Although she attended the event without Prince Harry, she shared with reporters that her favorite holiday tradition is for their “little ones to enjoy every minute.”
The royal couple moved to California in 2020 with their son, Prince Archie. They welcomed their daughter, Princess Lilibet, in June 2021 in Santa Barbara, California.
Meghan’s comment about enjoying the holidays with her children comes two days after Tyler Perry revealed his nickname for Lili, who is his goddaughter. He did so while appearing on the latest episode of the podcast Let’s talk to Kelly Ripa off camera.

“Little Lili,” Perry said when asked about his cute nickname for the toddler. The director added, “She’s so adorable,” he said. “Oh, she’s so beautiful. She’s just so beautiful.”
In an interview with Diversity for last year’s honor, Meghan opened up about her children joining the entertainment industry in the future.

“They are our children, obviously, they too are part of the heritage and tradition and family that will have different expectations. But I want them to carve their own path,” Meghan explained.
“If it’s the entertainment industry, great. And also, good luck. There are so many people who will talk about what opened doors for my children. But it still takes talent and a lot of courage. We create multidimensional, interesting, kind, creative people. That’s how they are our children.”
