Meri Brown may not be privy to Kody Brown’s plans for their joint property, but she knows her ex-husband doesn’t think she’s entitled to an equal share.
During the brand new episode Sister wives On Sunday, January 19, Meri spoke with her best friend Jenn Sullivan about the unknown status of the Flagstaff, Arizona property known as Coyote Pass that she shares with Kody, his other ex-wife Janelle Brown and his remaining wife Robyn Brown.
As the two best friends sat on the porch of Meri’s home in Parowan, Utah, the subject of the email that had been sent to Kody came up—the one that Meri had started to clarify what was going on with the estate.

“You sent that message out to everybody and said, ‘Guys, we need to talk about the property, we need to do it by today,'” Sullivan said, prompting Meri to open up.
“I feel like I made an appointment about a week and a half ago, just to start a conversation,” Meri said. “Janelle responded like, ‘Yeah, I’d like to start this conversation, too. And he said, ‘Well, I talked to all the right people.'”
“You are real people!” Sullivan exclaimed with a soft laugh.
“That’s what I told him,” replied Meri. “I said ‘I’m real people.’ So I don’t know exactly who he’s talking to and what his plan is, but that’s really all I know.”
Meri goes on to say that for all she knows, Kody may already be taking steps toward selling the property. “I literally have no idea what’s going on,” she said.

Sister wives‘ Kody Brown ‘has to admit’ he ‘needs a lot of attention’ as he adjusts to life after family turmoil
In the confessional-style clip, Kody weighs in, saying, “I was really, really nice in that email. I was trying to calm everyone down. I don’t know what to do here. I’m not trying to drag it out. I just say, “Listen, these are ex-wives asking me to do a favor, and I’m tired and busy.”
Janelle, who advised Meri to “protect” her interests during the Nov. 10 episode Sister wivesit is also in the dark. And like her ex-sister-wife, she says she wouldn’t be surprised if Kody worked on the job without their knowledge.

“He could talk to someone about selling it from under us. I don’t know because he doesn’t communicate,” Janelle added during the confessional.
Meri then told Sullivan another concern of hers. She says Kody once told her she would only get two acres of land because they only had one child.
Leon Brown, 29, Merino is the only child with Kody. Meanwhile, Janelle has six children and Robyn has five.
“His big deal then was that I would get two acres,” Meri said. “He said, ‘Well, you don’t need that much because you don’t have that many kids.’ ”

“You paid the same. You paid the same. I’m just really… holy shit!” Sullivan exclaimed.
Feeling that she is indeed entitled to more, Meri lists all the ways she has supported the entire family over the years, not only adding to the family funds that went to the estate, but stating that she has even helped all the children get through college.
“And that money went to most of the kids’ colleges, but not to Leon’s,” Sullivan noted.
“No, not Leon’s. I paid for Leon’s college and it went to most of the children’s cars, but not to Leon’s,” Meri added. “I paid for the car.”
She added: “I really don’t know how much the family funds actually paid for other children’s school or cars, but I know that my child’s school was not taken care of from the family fund. Kody actually said that. Since I have only one child, I am not entitled to an equal share of the property.”
In another confessional clip, Kody dismisses Mera’s claims. “We had 18 children to take care of,” he said. “You know, that’s just water in the bridge.”

Coyote Pass was a constant point of contention for current and former members of the plural couple as their various relationships ended.
The estate began with lots of land that fit multiple homes, and that’s where the Browns developed so they could live close to each other.
Meri, Janelle, Robyn and Christine Brown were in polygamous unions with husband Kody Brown, but three of Sister wives the patriarch’s marriages broke up within 14 months.
His third wife, Christine, left first in November 2021. A year later, in December 2022, it was revealed that Kody was separating from his second wife, Janelle. His union with his first wife Meri ended by January 2023.
Sister wives airs Sundays at 10pm ET on TLC.
