Miami Dolphins Star Tyreek Hill Safe After Massive Fire at His Multi-Million Florida Mansion

Everyone in the $6.9 million home was safe, and Hill was at a workout when the fire broke out, according to multiple reports

Firefighters are working to put out a large fire at Miami Dolphins star Tyreek Hill’s $6.9 million mansion on Wednesday, according to reports.

Local NBC 6 reported that Hill, 29, was at practice with the team when a fire broke out at his home in Southwest Ranches, Florida, on Wednesday afternoon.

A local news station later broadcast live footage of Hill and his wife, Keeta Vaccaro, standing outside the home, holding hands and watching as firefighters battled the flames. In another moment after the flames appeared to have died down, the wide receiver could be seen holding an orange cat in his hands as he and Vaccaro looked on from the street ahead. “Tyreek Hill left practice, everybody’s out of the house and safe because it’s burning out there at this time,” Palm Beach Post beat journalist Joe Schad chirped.

After the team training, the players and coaches reacted to the incident.

“I think the most important thing is that his family is safe, that his loved ones are good and that he is good,” running back Tua Tagovailoa told reporters, according to video of the Dolphins press conference shared online by NFL reporter Adam Beasley. “I know it’s a little cliché to say, but things like that, you know, part of the house, some of those things can be replaced, but I’m just glad that a lot of his family members are safe.”

“We’re here for him,” Dolphins cornerback Kader Kohou added to reporters gathered around his locker after practice, according to video shared by Sun Sentinel reporter David Furones.

Hill’s teammate said he didn’t realize the extent of the fire until a reporter showed him video of the house on his phone. “Damn,” Kohou said, reacting to the video, adding, “That’s crazy. I didn’t know it was that bad.” Hill bought the mansion for $6.9 million in 2022, according to Sports Illustrated. CBS News reported that thick black and white smoke could be seen coming from the home as firefighters battled to contain the blaze.

Helicopter footage of the station showed firefighters cutting a hole in the roof above the property’s main structure, where an extended fire ladder led.

After the fire appeared to be out, firefighters could be seen walking around the property inspecting numerous balconies with charred French doors, while Hill and Vaccaro remained outside.

The couple could be seen talking to a uniformed officer next to a parked Davie Police Department vehicle as firefighters continued to search the home.
