MICHAEL McIntyre’s Big Show bosses could be booed for allowing host AJ Odudu to “plug in” a brand of mobile phone she was promoting.
The Big Brother co-host was the face of the Google Pixel from 2022 to 2023.

On Saturday night, viewers saw her hand her phone to comedian Michael for his “Send to All” segment – where he sends a nasty message to her contacts.
Michael noted that it wasn’t an iPhone, and AJ confirmed that it was a Google Pixel – adding that she owned one of Apple’s devices, but it was too fragile.
She said: “With the iPhone, every time I dropped it, the screen would shatter. Five times in one week he dropped my phone and broke it. It was five days in a row and I thought, ‘I can’t let this happen.’ “
AJ said Pixel was “tougher” and showed her confidence in him by throwing him from his theater box onto the stage, where Michael, 47, caught him.
Viewers at home couldn’t help but notice the obvious addition of AJ, 35, who filmed the show last year and co-hosts Celebrity Big Brother on ITV next month.
One wrote on X/Twitter: “AJ is doing a TV commercial for the Google Pixel phone. This is on the BBC. What is it about?”
Another wrote: “AJ Odudu spent about a minute talking about how her Google Pixel phone is better than an iPhone.
“Obviously contrary to their guidelines . . . I was interested in what they said because we were horrified!”

The BBC must adhere to strict guidelines that prohibit product promotion on its broadcasts, whether overt or subtle.
A BBC spokesperson said: “Ahead of the broadcast of the programme, it has been confirmed to the BBC that AJ Odudu is no longer under contract to promote any smartphone-related organisation.”
