Michael Phelps is mourning the recent loss of his former Olympic massage therapist, who supported the legendary swimmer for decades.

On Monday, January 13, Team USA announced the death of Brian Campbell — a longtime member of the Olympic swimming staff — of a heart attack at the age of 68.

Phelps, the most decorated Olympian of all time, followed the announcement of Campbell’s death with a heartfelt post highlighting their two-decade relationship.

“So many memories Brian… rip Buddy. Thoughts and prayers to your family,” Phelps, 39, wrote via his Instagram Stories. “Stories about your son… jokes… 20 years of good times… Thank you for being such a good man.”
