Simone Biles has a cute new accessory.
She recently revealed that she has added another iconic Hermès bag to her growing collection, and this time she took her husband Jonathan Owens (29) on a big shopping spree.
On January 14, the 27-year-old gymnast posted on Instagram Stories a video of her new accessory – a light brown Birkin. In the video, she wrote that she needed her husband’s “emotional support” for the purchase.
“I treated myself to a new lil bby while in NYC,” wrote Biles, who was in town for the VTEX Connect NYC event on Jan. 13. “Jonathan came for emotional support, honey, I was sweating.”
The famous handbags, named after and inspired by the late Jane Birkin, can be sold and resold for tens of thousands of dollars, sometimes as high as six figures, a price that made Walmart’s $78 Birkini popular on TikTok

Biles was collecting her collection of Hermès accessories.
After the 2024 Paris Olympics, where she became the most decorated gymnast of all time, Biles revealed that her parents gave her an Hermès bag. “Don’t be mad at me, be mad at your parents,” she wrote on Instagram Threads at the time. Ahead of the Summer Games, Biles also shared that she treated herself to an Hermès item.
Biles and Owens’ trip to the Big Apple also included a sweet night out. For one of their outings, they wore casual cuts and then blended into harmonious looks for a romantic dinner. She captioned one of the pictures: “Bringing your baby to work.”

The couple, who married in April 2023, celebrated the New Year with a low-key affair at home. In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Biles admitted that she’ll probably be in bed before the ball drops at midnight. But speaking of her man’s swoon-worthy gesture, she revealed: “He said, ‘Don’t worry, I’ll get up. I’ll set the alarm for 12 so I can kiss you.’ ”
Biles was named after the holiday Sports IllustratedSportswoman of the year 2024, which she covered up in daring sequined hot pants and sexy silver heels.
