Mike Clevinger is a former professional baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for six seasons from 2016 to 2021. He was born on December 21, 1990 in Jacksonville, Florida and attended Wolfson High School where he played baseball and football. Clevinger went on to attend Seminole Community College and then transferred to Florida Atlantic University. Clevinger was selected by the Los Angeles Angels in the fourth round of the 2011 MLB Draft. He spent several years in the minor leagues before making his major league debut with the Angels in May 2016. After a few appearances with the Angels, Clevinger was traded to the Cleveland Indians in August 2016. Throughout his career, Clevinger established himself as a talented fastball pitcher which could reach up to 98 miles per hour. He also had a number of other pitches in his arsenal, including the slider, curveball and changeup.
