A six-year age gap isn’t exactly uncommon in a relationship, but Miley Cyrus is feeling it with boyfriend Maxx Moranda — in a positive way.
The pop superstar (32) spoke about her relationship with Moranda (26) in a new Harper’s Bazaar cover story interview published on November 20 and how she feels about dating someone who is part of Generation Z.
“He looks at life really differently than I do,” she told the newspaper. “He grew up with a laptop. I had a desktop computer that I shared with my siblings.”

Growing up with more direct access to the internet than Cyrus also means Morando has a slightly different approach to problem solving.
“Honestly, he raised our dog on Reddit,” the Grammy winner said. “I say, ‘Are you sure we should be doing this?’ And he says, ‘It says blah, blah, blah on Reddit.'”
However, aside from their age difference, Cyrus added of drummer Liily, “He’s a lot like me. We just don’t take life too seriously.”

in Harper’s Bazaar interview, the “Flowers” singer revealed that she is preparing to release a new visual album, currently titled something nicecontaining Morand’s contributions.
Cyrus explained that she has always been drawn to making music with those close to her. “I’ve always worked with my dad. That’s how me and my ex-husband met,” she said.

“I’ve always worked with people I love,” she continued. “And Maxx just inspires me.”
The couple has been romantically involved since December 2021, and Morando previously co-wrote and produced the song “Handstand” from Cyrus’ 2023 album. Summer vacation without end.
She teased her next album Harper’s Bazaardescribing the project as “hypnotizing and glamorous,” before explaining, “It’s a concept album that’s an attempt to heal a somewhat sick culture through music.”
